Our Daily Rhythm
At The Child Centered Home, our daily schedule balances indoor and outdoor activities, providing children with rich opportunities to learn, explore, and play. While times and activities may shift based on the needs of the children, each day includes experiences in art, science, math, language, literacy, social-emotional learning, and both fine- and gross-motor development.

Outdoor Play – In Every Season

Our Nature Explore Certified Outdoor Classroom is at the heart of our program, and we spend time outdoors in all kinds of weather.

Rainy Days: Children wear Muddy Buddy suits (provided by us) and bring their own rain boots for joyful puddle jumping and muddy adventures.

Summer Days: Children bring swimsuits or water-play attire, perfect for sprinkler fun and the inevitable mud play that follows.

Family-Style Meals

Children gather for family-style meals throughout the day, which include:

* Breakfast
* Morning Snack
* Lunch
* Afternoon Snack

Meals are a time for building independence, trying new foods, and enjoying conversation in a warm, communal setting.

Rest & Renewal

After lunch, children enjoy a period of rest. Each child is provided with a freshly laundered mat and sheet, while families provide a blanket and “lovey” for comfort. Soft, spa-like music creates a calm atmosphere. Most children nap, while those who don’t are welcome to relax quietly with books and quiet activities.
